After a successful event in 2024 we are proud to bring the Australian Garlic Awards back in 2025.

The Australian Garlic Award is a competition to celebrate Australian grown garlic that is true to its cultivar type and achieves quality standards.

The 2025 Awards are a collaboration between the AGIA and William Angliss Institute Melbourne.

Growers will be able to showcase their product and have a brand of excellence to attach to their product.

  • Entry opening date – 30th December 2024 (entry form)
  • Entry closing date – 3rd February 2025
  • Entries received by 7th February 2025
  • Judging commences – 11th February 2025
  • Winners notified by email - 19th February 2025
  • Presentations of the awards will be at the South Gippsland Garlic Festival 8th March 2025

Our Judges in 2025 are Penny Woodward, Simon Toohey and Michele Jordan.

Penny has extensive knowledge of garlic, authored books on garlic and was pivotal in the formation of the Awards when initially hosted by the Australian Food Awards, she will be joined by Michele and Simon as judges. Click ‘Judging’ above to read more.

The Awards are open to commercial growers for each garlic Group.
