The AGIA have been working with Dr Stephen Harper (Principal Research Fellow  at the University of Queensland and presenter at previous AGIA Conferences) to identify recent garlic research that would be of value to Australian garlic growers.

We are therefore excited to be kicking off our webinar series in the coming weeks with groundbreaking research results from Jessie Harper BAgrSc(Hons), Qld University.

Jessie’s studies focus on garlic bulbs (cv. Glenlarge) that were grown in Gatton, Queensland, Australia which were identified as having dry rot symptoms during storage in February 2023. The pathogen was identified as Fusarium proliferatum.

Following the presentation will be a discussion on the experience and learnings of Garlic Farmers in the 2024-25 growing season.
